Abstract This bachelor's thesis centers on the topic of communication in one-year and two-year secondary practical school. In the first part of the thesis, I explain the concept of communication, forms of communication, communication disorders, pedagogical communication, and its participants. Furthermore, I focus on the explanation of the concepts of augmentative and alternative communication, its forms, and its use for individuals with disabilities. I discuss secondary education for individuals with communication disorders in the final chapter of the theoretical section. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on the evaluation of the results of an exploratory survey aimed at pedagogical staff of one-year and two-year practical schools.
Education of pupils with mid-serious and serious intellectual disabilities focused on teaching reading

Bachelor thesis is focused on the education of pupils with mid-serious and serious intellectual disabilities. In the thesis is reffered to basic definition of mid-serious and serious mental retardation, described the psychological particularities of individuals with intellectual disabilities, communication systems and tools augmentative and alternative communication and system education in primary special schools. Bachelor thesis also contents enumeration of the methods of reading, which are used by pupils with intellectual disabilities, describes the process of teaching reading in two primary special schools and captures as to how pupils with mid-serious and serious intellectual disabilities in reading.
Design and realization of communication application for mobile phones intended to help people with communication disorders

The thesis deals with severe speech impairments, which require using assistive verbal devices as the means of everyday communication. Its main objective was to create an augmentive communication appplication for a mobile phone. The thesis specifies some severe communication disorders, mentions available communication applications for mobile phones and gives a description of developing and trial testing of the application. The appliaction is primarily intended for children of pre-school and younger school age who suffer from sever communication disorders. Its main purpose is to support the target groupe in communication with other people.
Development of communication for pupils at special primary school

The thesis is aimed to development of communication of students at special primary school. Special primary school is creating unique conditions for education of students with lower intellectual competences. The aim of education is equip students by knowledges and skills for integration into the society. The theoretical part of thesis consists of four chapters. The first of them specifies the term mental disability, classifies type of mental retardation, characterizes specific characteristics of person with mental disability and presents possibilities primary education mental disabilited students. The second and the third chapter compare psycho-motion development and ontogenezis of speech to mental handicapped children with children without disability. The fourth chapter characterizes supporting communication methods used in educational process of students with mental disability. The fifth chapter is applied to study. It characterizes chosen school institution and special pedagogical attitude to students and application augmentative and alternative aids. Augmentative and alternative communication by the individuals with pervasive developmental disorder

Název: Augmentativní a alternativní komunikace u jedinců s pervazivní vývojovou poruchou Autor: Markéta Kohoutková Katedra: Katedra Speciální Pedagogiky Vedoucí práce: PhDr., PaedDr. Jaroslava Zemková, Ph.D Abstrakt: Monografie přináší přehled aktuálních přístupů k jedincům s pervazivní vývojovou poruchou (PVP). Nejprve jsou zde analyzovány obtíže, se kterými se tato diagnóza pojí, poté autorka objasňuje možné příčiny, možnosti intervence a prognózu. Zdůrazněn je rozdíl mezi intervencemi založenými na kognitivně behaviorální terapii a intervencemi založenými na přístupu zaměřeném na člověka. Dále práce seznamuje s novými metodami alternativní a augmentativní komunikace (AAK), které lze využít při komunikaci s jedinci s narušenou komunikační schopností. Teoretické texty doplňují praktické výsledky z longitudinálního výzkumného šetření - případové studie. Během tohoto šetření byl jedinec s pervazivní vývojovou poruchou nespecifikovanou (PVP-NOS) podroben intervenci vycházející z přístupu zaměřeného na člověka. Následně jeho verbální komunikace byla podpořena prostřednictvím metody AAK - počítačového programu s hlasovým výstupem. Získané informace jsou určeny pro využití jak odborné veřejnosti, tak rodičů k zefektivnění práce, a především komunikace, s výše uvedenými jedinci.
